Why is Mas Montseny’s extra virgin olive oil so special?
Because it’s born from a finca of arbequina olive trees we care for year-round with dedication. We think about the oil when we prune, when the trees bloom, through the summer heat, and during times of scarce or heavy rain. In autumn, we ensure each tree bears healthy, high-quality olives.
We carefully select the harvest day, collect the olives, and quickly bring them to the mill, where they are cold-pressed. That’s it! Nothing added. We bottle it and deliver it so you can enjoy it at its best.
Choose your oil type
– Unfiltered oil (fresh pressed): Denser and with a more intense taste, it retains tiny suspended olive particles that will settle over time. This gives it character, but also reduces shelf life and freshness.
– Filtered oil: The same oil, passed through natural paper filters to remove impurities. Clearer in appearance, with a longer shelf life and no sediment.
Note: At the beginning of the season, only unfiltered oil may be available. At the end, one of the two options may be sold out.
